New Name for ETVI Big news! The Electric Transit Vehicle Institute (ETVI) has now become the Advanced Transportation Technology Institute (ATTI). We will soon be bringing you more information and programs about clean fuel vehicles than ever before! "The Institute has grown well beyond its original charter," explains Bob Diehl, ATTI chairman. "Fleet operators across the United States have a growing number of alternative fuel options available to them--from battery electric and hybrid buses to ethanol, natural gas, biodiesel, and fuel cell prototype vehicles. The Institute's major focus will remain with hybrid and electric vehicles, which are a critical bridge to fuel cell technology. We will also provide technical help and education outreach to groups and individuals who express an interest in other clean fuels." In vehicle demonstrations and at conferences, ETVI (now ATTI) has introduced people to a variety of advanced technologies--from hybrid-electric cars and buses to bi-fuel utility trucks, electric bikes and even hybrid boats. Although our name has changed, our basic mission is the same-- to advance the use of clean vehicles that promote a healthier environment and greater U.S. energy independence. Visit our new Web site, www. atti-info.org, now under construction, in the near future! |
